What is CatalogRack.com?

Just think of it like a paper catalog rack on the counter of a parts store... EXCEPT... CatalogRack.com has "electronic" catalogs in it, instead of paper catalogs. So instead of trying to remember which brand has the product a customer is looking for, a counterman simply types in words like "running boards", "camshafts", "intake manifolds", "wheels" or whatever words describe the product the customer wants.

In seconds, CatalogRack.com searches among the millions of electronic catalog database records selected to be part of a store's customized service. The search results appear on-screen, complete with available brands, applications and pricing.

CatalogRack.com delivers an easier, quicker and more accurate way for countermen to find the products, part numbers and pricing needed to close the sale.

Why is it taking so long to find a product?

There are a number of things that can affect the speed of the product lookups, such as: the speed of your computer; the speed of your Internet connection (dial-up vs. DSL/Cable) or the amount of Internet traffic at that time. You can check your line speed by using this address (copy and paste it into the Address bar of your browser):
http://computingcentral.msn.com/internet/speedtest.asp
Do this 3 or 4 times during the day to get a true picture of your line speed. T1 or DSL line speed is dependent upon the amount of active traffic you have going through the connection so having that type of connection doesn't necessarily mean you have that type of line speed. If the lookup process is slower than usual, and the condition lasts for more than a few days, please use Feedback to let us know the details of time and product lookup.

Why must I answer a question when there is only one choice?

The system is set up to offer specific groups of questions/choices for each Part Type. It has to cover each question group even if there is only one choice.

Why am I being asked questions that do not seem to apply to my lookup?

The program will sometimes ask qualifier questions that do not seem to apply, such as Engine Size for Shock Absorbers. If only one manufacturer offers shocks that are dependent on engine Size, that question will be asked for every shock selection. This applies to all product selections.

Can I change my product's selection without going through the vehicle selection again?

Once you get to a specific part number on the "Part Detail" page, there is a button at the top for "Search Other Products" When you click on that button, you will get a list of additional products for the same vehicle you just choose.
