New UPS Dimensional Weights added to CatalogRack.com
January 3, 2007
Effective January 1, 2007, UPS REPLACED its long standing "Yes, OS1, OS2, OS3 and No"
classification system for calculating billable shipping costs, with a new
Dimensional (DIM) Weight
process. This immediately affects several hundred thousand part numbers that are
shipped via UPS Ground in their own self shipper cartons measuring GREATER than
3 cubic feet (5,184 cubic inches)
If you are one of the 12,000 plus resellers (3500+ locations) using our FREE Industry Service,
CatalogRack.com, you will see BOTH the NEW DIM billable weight, along with the products
actual weight. All the DIM weight calculations have been done for you, so you will instantly
know the Billable UPS rate for several hundred thousand part numbers as of today.
